THE FARM ANIMAL ROAD SHOW
We can now bring FARM ANIMALS into your SCHOOL. Cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese plus the odd ferret or rat.. We can set up our FARM YARD on your play area/car park...! DEFRA will check out the site and issue you with a temporary CPH (holding number). We would need an area to park the livestock trailer and space to set up the hurdles. We can set up in the morning (be ready by 10.00 am) and be with you until about 2.30pm (so we can be off the premises before going home time).
Cost: just £300 plus VAT. The benefits: Every class can spend time with the animals.......no need to book the coaches....... Ensuring as many children as posible have the chance to learn about Farm Animals during the YEAR OF FOOD and FARMING. Please contact info.umberslade@btconnect.com to check which dates are available. Shire Horse Demonstrations
We can bring our SHIRE HORSES into your SCHOOL. We would need an area to park the trailer and space to set up the hurdles for safety. We can show all aspects of caring for Shire horses, demonstrate harnessing the horses for work, discuss the role of Shire Horses in the 21st Century and compare this with other times in history. Shire Horses are the Gentle Giants of the Horse World...once seen... never forgotten!

IMPORTANT
All children must be supervised by you throughout the visit. Any animal can be frightened by noisy and boisterous behaviour. Please read the attached sheet about health and safety, handwashing and the possible dangers to pregnant women on farms.
